Anyone ever replace the headlight switch stalk themselves? Mine is acting funny and I want to replace it. I see its a common problem.
I would really appreciate a service manual if it shows how to remove the airbag.I haven't done it but if you need a service manual send me a message and I will get one to you. Doug
I haven't read all the service manuals from cover to cover but there is info on R&R air bags in mine.I would really appreciate a service manual if it shows how to remove the airbag.

Let me know the year and motor size of your car and I will see if I can get you the manual. Doug
A copy of the service manual was sent to your PM box. Doug.2012 3.8 premium

Mine works perfectly when set to Auto. Only problem is that I had 80% film put on the windshield so now the headlights want to come on prematurely.Bumping this one: Picked up my '12 Genny yesterday from the local dealer as the multifunction headlight stalk (switch) had to be replaced yet AGAIN....under our extended warranty (with Zurich). Last time was in 2014 I believe. It started acting up again a couple of weeks ago....turn on headlights and then they would wink out momentarily when either engaging the turn signal detents or engaging low or hi beams. Took it in last Thursday (DEC 6) and they authorized me a loaner under safety pretenses and I get off work at 0015 hrs and have to drive 25 miles home. The rental sucked, a Chevy Equinox (barf). Anyways, they ordered the switch and they had the car over the weekend until yesterday morning.
As an FYI:
H-93400-3M031 Switch Assy-Multifunction Lists for $424.02. <--this can be found for $304 at 93400-3M031 - Hyundai Parts Deal
The tech took 1.2 hrs to replace it, $179.40 <-- shouldn't be too difficult to replace, just have to check manual to see how to remove the plastic shrouding.
4 day rental car: $120
Total bill paid by extended warranty: 723.42.
I have saved SOO much money by getting the extended warranty when we bought the car. Not on a lot of major things but the minor things that add up...
