  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just curious if anyone else has experienced this. I have 2,500 miles on my 2015 genny (3.8 AWD Ultimate) (purchased early June). two weeks ago it developed a windshield washer leak (under passenger side front bumper) . started off small - took it to dealer and they said they couldn't find anything at all. They were concentrating on the tank and lines I guess.........hmmm, well I drove away knowing that I wasn't imagining things, but it was late in the day and I had to get somewhere. That week it started leaking a lot more. took it back in, and they said I was in luck because the Genesis Tech was there. Well they determined it was a leak in the headlight washer which was caused by a bad o-ring. Bad news is, they said this o-ring is nationally backordered and they don't expect it in until after xmas. They clamped it for now until they get the park.

Just curious if anyone else experienced this - if the part is nationally backordered does that mean they are seeing this issue in a lot of cars?

I have not experienced this issue in mine (2015 3.8 AWD Ultimate)

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Mine had more or less the same issue. The wiper washer fluid reservoir would be empty after about a week! Took it to the dealer and they said the line to the headlight washers apparently was loose from the factory so they clamped it back and so far, it has worked. It's not the O ring seal issue, but close. :)

I have a 2015 Genesis, same failure in 2017, it was replaced under warranty. Now it is September 201p, same failure, passenger headlight washer fluid line, but the car is out of warranty.

Seems to be a manufacturer defect as the same part, passenger front, needs replaced again
