  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My headlights seem to have a problem holding an aiming adjustment done by my Hyundai shop. Anyone else have this problem? Is their a fix? My lights are in the trees!

Sure, there is a fix once the problem is found. How many times have they been adjusted? What did the dealer say when you went back? They may have been aimed but the tech missed something.

If it has happened multiple times you need a different dealer to look at them. If it happened once, go back and let them know so they can check and find the real problem.

I adjust the lights myself because dealer aims them to low and can’t see anything at night and it is dangerous. It is easy to do it yourself and there are many tutorials on how to do it. I only had to remove the plastic cover so I can adjust passengers side.

I saw the videos too, but with the headlight leveler system (electronic) on my Genesis, I’m going to let the dealership poke at it for awhile. Mine are aiming themselves, which point to that system.
Thanks.

You should still be able to adjust them manually. I had bending LED headlights (they move up, down, left and right automatically) in my 18 Sonata Ultimate and also had to raise them up as they were too low from the factory. Pop the hood and look for the holes near the headlight area with headlight symbol. One will adjust left/right position and the other up/down. I couldn’t use philips screwdriver as the hole was to small and my screwdriver would not fit. I used socket key and and accesed the screw from the back. Would you like me to take pics for you on how you can DIY?

Thanks, but not now. I’m going to be patient awhile, while the shop does their thing.

2015 doesn't have auto level system?
