  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2009 4.6 sedan. No matter what temp you set the temperature control at it blows cold air. The blower motor and ac work fine.
The temperature of the car stays right In the middle ass it should. Coolant isn't low.
Anybody have any ideas?

There are dampers that open and close to direct the air straight from the vent or over the heating coil. It may be sticking. I don't know if this car has a valve to control flow of water through the heating coil. If so, that could be not working.

Does the Genesis have a mixing valve? I had this problem on my TL and it required a little white lithium grease to get it to slide properly.

Idk that's what I'm trying to figure out. I'm sure it has a valve that's stuck not allowing coolant into the heater core. I was hoping someone else might have fixed the same problem on their genesis

So what about colder a/c air coming out of all vents except the driver side? Is that a temp control module or something? If so what’s the part number?

Best,

JET

Also could be a clogged heater core, that's what caused my car to not have heat, I was able to back flush it and blow some crap out of it and I got heat back.
