  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Was just able to pull the trigger on a 2012 R-spec sedan tonight. Landed at 36700 for a final number. This car was not a serious contender versus the others that I was considering until I drove it last weekend. The dealer made me think as they just dropped the price 10k off of list. Not being an impulsive buyer I walked. Called back first thing the next day and they had sold the car!

Since that incident I have been contacting all dealers with 2012 Rspecs making them an offer. Most laughed but one did not and that's all it takes I guess. Feel like I got a pretty good price but you always think that you could have done better when it is accepted. Nice, smooth transaction so far. Guess I'll find out Saturday how the rest of it goes as I am hoping a short flight to pick it up and drive it back to Lincoln, NE.

I'll report back and perhaps post a couple of pics. I officially welcome myself to the club.

Outstanding deal for an outstanding car. Congratulations and welcome!

:welcome:Welcome to the form!
Way to go on the deal you made.
My Dad always told me that once you place Ben Franklin on the table there is no need to talk any longer, because Ben will carry on the conversation from there.:D

Welcome! Awesome car, awesome deal. Enjoy!

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Sounds like a good price, but remember it's last year's model. It must have some miles on it too, right? The 2013 model also has some improvements.

I fondly recall my first Genesis, which I never actually owned. I ordered it from a faraway dealer at a super price. The car was delivered here on a car carrier. It was damaged in several places and I sent it back within the hour. Be sure to look over your new car very carefully. After you drive it home, it will be much more difficult to claim defects like body damage, or a rip in the dash leather like Pohanka of Salisbury, MD tried to foist on me.

Enjoy the new car and post often here. You will learn a lot here, but we also need your original thoughts too. This is a very good forum of its kind.

I appreciate the replies and welcomes.

The car I am picking up has 54 miles on it. There were a great deal of 2012's out there which were GM cars or loaners. Sad for me to see dealers using Rspecs as loaners but perhaps this isn't a poor sales tactic.

If I inspect this one and find something wrong then they have an additional Rspecs which has 90 some miles on it.

True tale of the story for me is to encourage others to do their research and attempt to work every deal and possible angle possible. Yes, I have to travel a bit for the car but I think I have come out ahead in the end.

I hope my drive home tomorrow confirms my choice.
