  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

New owner from Toronto, Canada here. I purchased a black on black v6 sedan a few weeks ago and finally got a call from my dealer letting me know that my car would be ready for pickup this weekend.

looking forward to the car and contributing to this site.

Eddie

Sorry. We've not allowed to respond to you until you can show proof of purchase--

So finally here it is. :)
I took a road trip next day after picking up the car. 1200 miles later and i am very happy with dropping the regular H for a flying H.

es136- Sorry I couldn't respond to you but those are the rules. How do you like your car? Did you choose the trip to Hawaii or the one to Italy when you got your car? Most have chosen Hawaii-

Well since both would require getting the tires wet, I opted for a drive down to U.S as you guys have much better speed limits and roads.

We have "Better speed limits and roads"!!!!! You got to be kidding.

I've driven on the QEW and the 401 many times. You guys fly, compared to us in the US. (read, fast) Sure, I've seen the OPP stop cars, but driving in the middle of a pack of cars on the 401, at 130kph (81mph) or more, you have some protection from the OPP.

well nowadays we have potholes that can swallow the wheel and these little pesky signs all over the place.
then again I am getting nervous as I caught myself doing about 140 kph listening to Roger Waters at 5:00 AM this morning.
damn, Genny is too quiet.

es136 - We have a lot in common. Roger Waters is my favorite rap star. Did you catch him on the MTV awards show? Good singer but his pants were too low. I could see his "crack". Did they show his crack on Canada television? I hope not. The Queen would be mad. I take offense that you would come down to the good ole US of A to speed on our highways. We do not condone speeding. In fact we come up to Canada to get our jollies on your highways. I would speed up there more often if it weren't for your polar bears that jump out from behind the trees with their arms flailing. It make me nervous-- Do you still drink tea at 5:00 each day? I prefer a good Merlot at 5 but someday our countries might see eye to eye-- Do you have internet up there yet?? Many guys on this website would like to know--

est136,

I hope you know that flyboy2 is just pulling your leg.

BTW, I wish we could still get the best Canadian TV show ever, here in the US. (I know they took it off the air here as it ran its course, but I'd still love to watch reruns of-------)

"CORNER GAS".

(I hear there is another good one, "Trailer Park Boys", but it may be too dirty for us yanks).

Ouch!!! 50kph (31mph) over the limit? I guess living with the OPP is like living in a police state. Well, its getting like that here also. Just makes driving no fun.

Its getting now that when I take a trip, with no other cars near me, I stay close to the speed limit. (cops like to pick off the easy prey). When there are a lot of cars, all going well over the limit, I just join them, and hide in the middle of the pack. (cops don't like to go after the more difficult prey).

BTW, why is that sign only in English? I thought everything from the government was in both English and French.

After all, everything is the US is in both English and Spanish.

No worried about FlyBoy:). I've seen his obsession with the Queen in other threads. personally, I think he would be better off with her heir prince Chucky.
OPP would love to make Ontario a police state. outside of Quebec, most sign are English only, with exception of signs in federal jurisdiction.
trailer park boys and Corner Gas are funny. you can catch TPBs on DirecTV in U.S.
