  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I bought a 2021 G70 2.0. I have no operational or maintenance issue, and love the car. I bought it in 2022 as a former lease with 6100 miles on it. It runs like a top, I need to watch my speed since 60 feels the same as 90 (oops!).

My only comment of significance is my plan to consider a G80 is over. My local (6 mi distant) Hyundai dealer can no longer sell or do warranty service on my car, I now need to drive 50 minutes to one Genesis dealer or 55 minutes to a dealer in Orlando. Ridiculous, they lost a future sale. who ever made this deal.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us. Well, I'm glad to hear your G70 is serving you well. There ARE new Genesis dealerships popping up here and there. There SHOULD be something closer to you in the not too distant future, as the brand expands... I'm seeing a LOT of new Genesis vehicles on the road, so there are enough buyers... Perhaps when you're ready for a new car, the nearest Genesis dealership won't be too far away...

Do a little searching around here and you will find the reason. It actually started around 2015 or so when they wanted stand alone dealers. They will finally get them.

End result is to give you better service overall. I'm not buying a Lamborghini as the dealer is too far.

Man, isn't it so disappointing? Actually, I do have a Lamborghini dealer a few miles away - so I can't use that as an excuse. :D

If it makes you feel better, my closest Genesis dealer is a 10 hour drive from me in another China city. They will deliver the car to my city, and later send a techie to my city to do the (otherwise free) scheduled maintenance every 10,000 km for a maximum charge of C$150 each time. It is not ideal, but it is not going to stop me from getting a GV70 – at least I don't think it will...

Yes, they found a great way to alienate current and long-term Genesis owners who love their vehicles.
