  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

First off I will say I am not a Genesis owner but I am at the present shopping around and trying to learn about as much as I can about these cars before proceeding in a trade in.
I am looking into the coupe (naturally for me and my style of car I like).
I currently drive a 2008 Scion tC and while yes it may be a 'girlie' car and yes I love it, it is a great car overall but I am no longer at the satisfied mark for it.
So while 'shopping' around and after my mom purchased a Sonata (and yes I drove it and just fell in loved with how it drove and felt) that made me a little more intrigued with the Genesis Coupe.
So I am researching what I can to get more familiar with the ins and outs of the car.
I would be trading in my car on to it, so I am hoping I could get a good deal on my trade (at least the pay off).
But this may be a too personal question for a newbie to be asking but can I ask (you can give a range too) of what your monthly payements are and how your insurance amount looks like.
I am presently pay 350/mth for my car payment and 95/mth for full coverage for my tC so I am just trying to see how much of a difference there will be.

If I trade in, it wont be until later in the year (wish i could get the 2012 Coupe but i know for a fact that i would not be able to afford that car lol)
but I would be going for a 2.0T model (better mpg than my tC!) in a manual.
I have found a used 2010 w/5800 miles on it (dealer car) that is an r-spec for 23,622 but i am sure i could haggle that price down a little more (especially since it is a 2010 used)
and I have found a few new 2011 around the 23k-24k range.

So in short, shopping around as interested in the cars, details you can provide, opinions oh and Hi my name is Samantha and I am a 25 y/o who loves cars and does the work myself and married. lol.

/end long as heck thread - my appolgies lol.

2008 Scion tC - 5spd (wow, yeah, cardomain lol - http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3134691/2008-scion-tc )
