  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

SO... who makes struts for it that don't cost 300.00 each ????? or go Coil over????

This is the best option I could find, there are not many choices. However, I cannot find anyone that has them in stock. You may have to contact the manufacturer directly.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
ebay...cheap...

Its a luxury car so repairs and parts can be expensive though not as bad as Mercedes or BMW.

You might look on partsgeek.com or rockauto.com to see what's available. I tried looking around and couldn't find anything by just searching via google for 2011 Hyundai Genesis struts. Coilover sets will cost you about a grand or more but it's up to you which you want to go with.

Found out its dealer only

It seems that’s the case for much of the maintenance on the Genesis. That’s a little irritating because struts aren’t difficult to replace but cost a ton to have done.

At $300 a pop (does that include installation?) you might be better off going coilover since you can get a complete set of those for about a grand. Installation is pretty simple if you have the tools and a little bit of mechanical know-how. There's plenty of videos on YouTube that show how to swap out factory for aftermarket coilover. I'd want to do more research into how good the ride quality is on them before buying though.
