  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So my car was fine Friday the storm hit us and I took my car today (Monday) to work. As I was driving the steering is shaking a lot out of nowhere I never changed the tires yet could this be flat spots or the car parked on the snow for 2 days I will delete this thread when I get some help what's do you guys think it was about 24 degrees f that helps but the car drove fine on days colder

You say you took it out in a storm? I assume you are talking the eastern coast snow storm. If so, it does happen a wheel can get packed with snow which causes temporary wheel vibration as it throws it out of balance.

The storm happened Friday into Saturday. I drove today the car about 25-35 miles and can still feel a vibration.

Check those rims for ice or snow packed into the rim cut outs....
I had that happen to me last season. It doesn't take much to throw the wheels out of balance

Ok going to check when I get out of work thanks a lot also gonna delete this thread when I find out how lol

Well considering it's 36 in New York today and forecast to go up to 44 tomorrow, if it's a snow problem (which I tend to believe as well), by tomorrow you should be good to go :-).

Don't delete the thread. The entire point of forums is to create a knowledge base for reference.

Get the rotors hot enough, and it might help melt the snow! Find a dry road and live a little!

It must have been what you guys said drove fine home but after having my my fair share of cars never had that problem. I must have a few screws loose lol thanks guys !

I had an Infiniti Q45 stuck in mud once. On the way home after it was pulled out by a tow truck, it bounced and vibrated crazily on highway. Went to a car wash facility next day to wash all the mud out. The vibration was all gone after that.

No, it could not. Flat spots don't develop on a tire parked for 2 days or 10 years.

??? sure they can - and do!

We all started somewhere. The coupe is, by his own admission, his first "performance" car, and he gets a little testy about folks providing facts instead of theory or general idiocy.
