  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis Model Year
2015
I received an email that BlueLink is being continued at the end Of this year because of the end of 3G connection. My car is not eligible for an update. It's a 2015 Genesis Sedan, 3.8 L. If BlueLink shuts down I can no longer do remote heat, remote start air conditioner or accident notification. I'm freaked out about this. Are there any alternatives?

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Just letting you know that I have moved this topic into our second generation Genesis Sedan forum. There are several discussions already going on about this issue. Do a search and you should be able to find them and participate...

Thanks. Can you tell me how to find that forum? A link, perhaps?

The only alternative is to have a remote starter installed. If you do a search here for "remote start" you will see many of us have done just that.

When the car starts the heat and AC will be in the same position you left them. Mine is always set at 72 degrees. No accident notification though. Figure $350 to $550 depending on the particular remote you choose.

CompuStar is one of the few fully compatible remote starts. Installed by a licensed dealer will probably set you back $1000.

Thank you. Still cheaper than a new car.
