  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi everyone! After 4 months of searching I finally bought a 2012 Equus Signature two days ago. This is easily the nicest car I've ever owned and I still can't believe I have one in my garage now! Unfortunately, my car did not come with an owner's manual, and the only one I can find online is for the 2014 model so not all the instructions work on my 2012. I'd appreciate if anyone could help me figure out how to do the following:

1. Turn off the song that plays when you Enter and Exit the car. (I like it but just curious if this is optional)
2. Change the lane change blinks from 3 to 5 when you lightly press the lane change lever. Right now it's set to 3.
3. Have the side mirrors auto-fold when the car is shut off.
4. Stop the side mirrors from adjusting down when reversing. I like to use the side mirrors to see objects rather than the curb or parking lines.
5. Turn off Day Time Running Lights.

It seems like most of these are controlled via the steering wheel buttons for 2014 and above but my 2012 wheel is a bit different.

Thanks in advance!

1. Not sure, but I have noticed that if you use the remote to unlock the car you get the welcome music. If you use the keyless door handle you do not. I always get the song when I shut off the car. I like it, myself;)
2. Not sure, check the link.
3. Double clicking the lock button on my remote makes the mirrors fold in.
4. Make sure that neither L or R is engaged on the mirror adjustment. If either is on it will rotate both mirrors down.
5. Don't believe it's possible since it's a law to have them.

Thanks CubSmurf! I don't mind the DRLs being on but I don't like the yellowish light. Maybe I'll swap them out for white LED bulbs to give it a cleaner look.

Good luck with the DRLs. If you find ones that play nice with the low/high voltage settings for DRL/high beam modes, please let me know.
