  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi,

I have a 2010 Genesis Sedan 4.6L and my ABS/ESC lights are on. Also my "auto hold" is yellow/amber, not white (so it is not functioning). I have changed my ABS unit including the module and I have also replaced my smart cruise control module. Both parts were purchased from a salvage yard.

I have been told since the parts were from different vehicles, they may not be talking to each other at the moment. I was wondering if there is any way for me to get them to talk, other than having to go to the dealer or having to purchase the Hyundai diagnostic tool.

I read in a thread that someone had the abs or esc (can't rem) light on and they pulled out the abs or esc fuse and the light went away and had not returned upon writing in that thread. However, I do not see an abs or esc fuse for my vehicle in the owners manual.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Do you see a indicator in the speedometer cluster showing the ESC off and ABS indicator?

I can see the ABS indicator and the ESC light on my cluster (Not ESC off). If I try to hit the ESC switch it does not do anything, it will not let me toggle between ESC and ESC off.

The fuse or a relay may have been the original problem. There are fuses and relays in the dash and in the engine compartment. You can find the diagrams on line or the dealer can supply you the diagram.

All my fuses look good. I am not sure about the relays, however, I can not find any fuses/relays for the abs for my car. I checked the owners manual as well. There are a few fuses for ESC, but they are good.

I am not sure what else I can check.
