  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Help me to decide!

I will check this when I do a oil change this weekend. How bad was the vibration?

I went with the v6 just cause I have a fun car that makes 4 times what this v6 makes. Also the v8 doesn't have awd until now I guess.

The vibration was bad, but only in the summer with the AC compressor at full tilt. Last summer wasn't too bad, but waiting at a long Houston stoplight this last June "broke the camel's back" for me, and I had the mounts replaced. There is virtually no vibration now. It _seems_ the new mounts are a performance upgrade, since I have driven other v6 Genesis with properly working original mounts.

There was no vibration in the winter with the AC off.

Cool, I might just visit the dealer and see if they will replace mine.

The tech said when he started it up in the stall, he heard a thunk sound when the starter engaged, so he pulled the bottom cover and saw the collapsed mount. It took them about 5 days to ship a replacement pair.

* THIS HAS BEEN SHAMELESS THREAD HIJACKING, MY APOLOGIES *
