  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

hello everyone my son just purchased a 2014 genesis coupe r spec 2.0t. where purchased it from a mega dealer and our salesman wasn't a Hyundai salesman. the car is supposed to have led daytime running lights above the fog lamp but no one at the dealership could get them working so we went to another dealership and they told me they didn't think they are supposed to work they are only for show so I came home and looked at my window sticker and it says automatic headlights with daytime running lights I am talking about the led lights above fog lamps the guys at this dealership thinks they only work on 3.8 models or could I have a bad fuse or some other problem the dealers don't seem to even know and info on this would be appreciated thank you

they are not hooked up. only the track or premium with appearance package gets it. I think you can hook it up to your day time lights which are your low beams at 50%. I'm going to look in to it.

thank you very much the dealers don't seem to have a clue about this. please let me know what else you uncover.

I am having the same issue where my 2014 2.0t r-spec's LED running daylights do not turn on. did anyone figure out if they are just for looks or if it would be a fuse problem?

I have them (they too don't work) on my '13 3.8 R-spec have been wondering about it for a while now

As far as i understand, the hook up is there. I believe you have to splice the wire in with an extra connection or directly to the existing running lights. I personally would like them on all the time. This is probably the dumbest thing i have seen with these cars. Why have it there and not run a simple wire like the rest of the fog lighted cars

I'm trying to get them to stay off on my 2014 3.8 Sedan...

Same here. I just purchased a 2014 Turbo Coupe and the salesman (Kia) told me how cool the LEDs were on the car although he couldn't get them to come on. I have repeatedly tried and have found no way to illuminate these lights. What a ridiculous waste of time and parts to have lights installed that are impossible to operate!! Why not make the brake lights optional too!!

Theirs a simple solution to this, just get a transfer box and hook your main head lights to your drl(day running lights) and it should automatically turn on when needed. Attach it to the red cord for power on both headlights and drl.

I found on my 2014 Grand Touring that the DLRs will only run while the parking lamps are on and stalk activated. With the white turn signals (switchbacks) I got from Diode Dynamics it makes for a pretty cool pattern. At night I just run the fogs.....
