  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm hoping you guys can give me a heads up on rebadging my 5.0 RSPEC. I think I can swap the trunk badge but I don't know how to do the 19" wheels. Can someone tell me how to take the "H" wheel centers off? Do they just pop off or do they have adhesive on them. Thanks for the help!!!
By the way...the traction control on the RSPEC is just that. When you turn it off you can lite em up. Don't know if the 2012 4.6 is like that or not but the RSPEC will smoke em when you mash the gas. This thing is FAST FAST!!

Most here will do the floss/fishing line deal but I like my way much better.

I simply use a heat gun and heat up the rear badge an pull it off slowly. Most of the glue will come off with it this way. For the remaining glue I simply heat the glue up again and roll it off with my fingers. Final step is to remove any residue with lighter fluid or some other product. Watch out as all the steps above is really hot on the fingers so do take care so as to not burn yourself.

As for the centre caps, they just pop out however not that easy unless I missed some specific tool for this. If you remove the wheel you can pop it off from the inside easily.

I removed the stock wheel caps by tapping a sheet metal screw into the cap, screwing it a couple of turns, and pulling it out with pliers. Easy, fast, unless you want to keep the old caps.

That's cheating. :D

Ok so it's not adhesive? Just pop it off? The screw is a good idea, never would of thought about that.thanks

No, there is adhesive and this is why you warm it up.

Sorry, now I'm talking about the wheel centers. They don't have adhesive do they? I know about the trunk badge removal, it's the wheel centers I'm confused about. I'm doing a pretty good job of confusing everybody I think.
Thanks again for the help

Correct, no adhesive on wheel centres, pop them out.

I think those are the same as the 17" Base wheel hubs. I just waited until the next tire rotation and had the tire dealer swap them. Once the wheel is off the car, they can easily be pushed out from the rear.
