Getting familiar with the group...
Does anyone else experience this: When I start my car (with AV off and a USB stick plugged in), the AV system starts by itself and begins to play from the USB stick. I find this annoying and sometimes a semi-dangerous jolt to my nerves (when I left it at a loud volume on shut-off).
I have two older sticks (smaller than 1 gig) that do not "auto-start" the AV system when left plugged in. Also a Patriot 8 gig.
I've done several tests and first thought it was FAT vs FAT32 formatting on the stick. But the Patriot is FAT32 - and it does not "auto-start."
So I experimented re-formatting one of the FAT sticks to HTFS, then exFAT and the Genesis won't recognize either formats. SO I put the stick back to FAT . . and now it also auto-starts the AV system (the same stick that didn't do it before!).
