  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey all I really need help with the wing badge for the hood of my Coupe. I have seen the wing badge applied to the Coupe hood but do not know which emblem was used. Can anyone answer if the badge is the same as the Sedans front badge? I do not want to buy the front and rear if I don't have to.

Hello, brand new owner here. I have a lot of questions myself, but I just wanted to say that EBay has a lot of badges that specify for the coupe, including the wing badge to replace the huge "H" in the hood. Check it out, just save one for me :-)
Also, I am wondering just how you pry that thing off the hood and get the new one on without damage to your beloved vehicle. -Anyone?

**Update 11/11 - If anyone else is looking for a 'how to' on badges, I found an answer - Youtube.com has a video posted that shows how to remove the rear badge step by step.

on my case, 2010 coupe bough in september, the front was a major pain. The front emblem was not glued or hold with screws as showed on the schematic, it was two rivets type in the back. i had to remove the front grid totally off the car to do the job right and drill both rivets head... you can alway try to remove the emblem with a plier but you take a chance to crack the front grid... patience and time and you will do it right.

Thanks, nmto0777. I have finally gotten the badges (a little disappointed to discover they were plastic after shelling out $85, lol). I guess the "H" on there could be, as well. I hope to tackle that next weekend. Not being mechanically gifted, I am still hoping for a great result - but after all, it would be hard to make such a beautiful car look bad, wouldn't it?! I have had mine not quite than 4 months, and it is still a rush every time I get in it.
Happy Trails!

I would recommend looking at Import sharks tutorial on removing the front bumper to replace emblem. I replace the grill and the emblem and installed fog lights. Removing the bumper was very easy and the tutorial is very good. It makes the change REAL easy.

You do not have to remove the front Bumper to change the emblem. that would be a long un-necessary job.

Thanks - I would say especially for the mechanically challenged, the front grill does seem easier - I would be very concerned about re-alignment and fit being perfect on the bumper. However, I have read from a few postings around the Web that removing the grill is no picnic, either - several screws that are near impossible to get at, and some clips that are even harder to remove. One guy said it took him an hour to remove it. I have yet to even tackle the front, I started on the back and discovered right off that the badge on mine was not screwed in like the one on the video, it appears to have some kind of cap over the stems that extend through the trunk lid - no screws! I expected that one to be a cinch - ha, ha. Guess not all Coupes are finished the same way. I also have to commend all you guys with big hands that have managed to change theirs - there is virtually NO room to work behind that metal plate!

PS, FerrariMan, I could not find a tutorial at that website - could you post a link for everyone?

Thanks!

The bumper is really easier than trying to jam your hand in there and possibly damage paint from flexing but no worries, to each their own. I also had to remove as I was also doing fog lights and grill. The issue with the post I mentioned is its in another forum and I do not want the stink eye from the Admin or Mods for posting. I actually did not know that it was in another forum or I would not have brought it up. Maybe Import Shark can post here too. Great thread. Here is a pic of the new grill and badge. Wifes car and she gets stopped all the time with inquiries.

Wow, the new grill looks great! Thanks for all your input. Hope it helps others. For me, I have not had much success, other than getting the rear badge unglued - that was a cinch with a hairdryer. However, I am still left with the screws or caps that I can't get to, however I try. I am almost ready to give up and take it to my body shop. Any chance you live in Georgia, LOL!
