  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello, new here. I had a hard time finding this info and im not sure if posted before but If you’re like me and like to DIY to save money, and also have a hard time finding info on these vehicles like me here is list for all fluids in these vehicles and the type and amount. Hopefully this save someone some time

engine oil:
8 and a half quarts of 5w20 (i use synthetic) oil filter i bought OEM from hyundai dealerships service dept.

transmission fluid:
For a drain and fill, aka dropping pan and just adding fluid, you need about 5-6 quarts of Hyundai SP4-RR ATF. Me personally I wouldn’t get anything else, transmission very complex machines, might as well use the exact fluid it came with. You wont have to worry about over filling because it will spill out if you put too much.
NOTE the filter is built into the pan, so if you plan on changing the filter you will have to get another pan/filter which is about 70$.

Engine coolant:
About 3 gallons of your preferred asian car coolant (The green stuff) There is a drain valve on the bottom right side of the radiator.

Brake fluid:
can use either dot3 or dot4. I’d just stick with dot4. you will need a little less then 1 quart of it.

Differential:
1 and a half quarts of 75w/90. I just used royal purple. There is a drain and fill bolt , Note You WILL need a cheap hand pump to refill the differential, i got one for 8$ at autozone.

Your information seem spot on. I also used Royal Purple 75W-90 gear oil in my rear differential and so far so good three years later.

I did a drain and fill on my 2015 5.0 transmission with 76k miles this month, but used Revenol brand SP IV-RR transmission fluid instead of OEM fluid. I only needed about 3 1/2 quarts of fluid to top off without pulling the pan/filter.

The transmission shifts smoother and quicker by only swapping out 3 1/2 quarts of fluid of dirty fluid; which surprised me since i did not expect to notice any change from just draining 3 1/2 quarts of fluid.

I will drain more fluid at 100k miles and pull the pan/filter as well to remove about 5 more quarts of older fluid and then a drain and fill every 30k miles until 200k miles and then another pan/filter change unless I sell the car by then.
