  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The car belonging to a friend of my brother was stolen recently. Her insurance company has rented a new Genesis for her while the claim is being handled. And she hates it. I'm not sure what her specific complaints are, but one thing mentioned is that the front scrapes the curb when she pulls up too close. The rest of us have learned not to nose in too close to curbs, but apparently that's beyond her. She swears it's the worst car she has ever driven (her stolen car was a Volvo XC60) and that she can't return it to the rental company soon enough. I told my brother she wouldn't get much sympathy here, not that she's looking for any...

The Genesis is a large car, and maybe not comfortable for a smaller person or most women, especially if they don't take the time to adjust the seats properly.

To each its own. I know this guy that got a few months ago a 2012 BMW 535i. He came out of 3 year lease of a Lexus ES 350 and according to him his new car is by far the worst car he's ever had.
He hates so much this BMW 535 that he wants to return it back and get back to a Lexus. Btw he is a young fella

Guess she got a base 3.8, huh? Definitely not a Tech package car, which beeps when you get too close to the curb (at least it does for me).

The car IS really low, I'll give her that.

But to dislike a car because of this one reason? Hope she never drives a super sports car! Those things bottom out on uneven pavement!

Her stolen XC60 is a cross-over, quite a bit different than a car like the Genesis.

My wife loves her 2010 4.6 Tech better than her old Lexus LS 430!
