  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hands on with Cadillac CUE.

My thoughts:

  • Personally, I am not a big fan of touchscreen in cars; I find the controller knob much easier to use while at a stop light. I thought I'd hate the controller knob when I first got the car (I came from an Acura TL), but have grown to appreciate it more.
  • It looks a little sluggish; did you see how long it took for it to expand when he pinch and zoomed on the map?
  • I love the music integration and choices (Pandora!?)
  • It has proximity sensors that bring up additional options when your hand gets closer, but again, it appears to be sluggish
  • Delays when switching between functions (navigation-audio-phone)
  • I don't like haptic feedback buttons. Give me old-fashioned tactile feedback buttons
  • Love the storage behind the computer faceplate
  • Man you'd better get the extended warranty on this. I'd hate to have to pay to replace this stuff
  • I want to see the interface for finding a song.

Overall I'd say there are a lot of new ideas here, some of them I think are awesome, others I have to wonder about.

I'm not impressed.

I like it but it may be too complicated for an average user. Also capacitive center stack buttons may be an issue when you drive with gloves on during the winter times.

Great. More distractions for the driver. How is someone suppose to operate the dashboard, eat my burger, drink my shake, talk on the phone and play angry birds on my iPad while I drive. Seriously folks. ;)

It doesn't look like something I'd like. But the current system in my Genesis is total crap, so how coulhd it be worse?
