Whats going on guys, this is Petey with Turbochargers.com, I'm a sales rep for the company and more then likely will be the one purchasing the Gen coupe when it is released. Actually before the conformation of the Gen coupe turbo, we kicked around buying a 4.6 Sedan and doing a twin turbo setup on it. We can rebuild make it faster, stronger, better!!! You should see what we did with the Lexus IS-F

Ohhh....I can only imagine! I had the unique opportunity to drive an IS-F and it is a sweet machine. I couldnt justify the extra $$$$ for a car though.

If I could convince my wife and myself that I need the GEN coupe instead of a Tundra than I would be giving you some business! But, with a boat and a golf cart...I need a towing package.

I asked a similar question on the Hyundai Think Tank. Their only word of caution was it may void Hyundai's very extensive warranty. Have you worked with Hyundai in the past of have an agreement in place with them?

A twin turbo or supercharged V8... that would be delicious and seriously under my radar when I get the Genesis...

If the demand is high enough(and if someone will bring in a car) we will do a turbo setup for the V6 option, turbos are better for us to work with and warranty. We do not have a working relationship with Hyundai as of yet, to be honest I highly doubt one will happen. We do have one with Ford though for the V8 mustangs we do offer a turbo kit for the automatics that Ford warranties, so if Hyundai takes an interest in our products it maybe possible. No manufacturer can legally void your warranty just because you have an aftermarket part put on, that have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the aftermarket part was the cause of the failure.

If someone brought you a V6 for a turbo setup, how long does it actually take to develop the plumbing and work out the tuning?
Would there be a kit available after the prototype was up and working with all bugs worked out?

I would say to be on the safe side 10 business days just to be safe. In case we hit any bumps along the way, but it would hard to say unless we actually had the car.

Which engine do you have??? You are more then welcome to bring it by our shop for us to look at it to see what could be done if you are interested contact me and I will see about getting an appointment setup for you to come by.
