  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi everyone !

I'm new to this site, just bought a 2012 coupe 2.0T.

I've bought from Seoul racing the ECU 1.5, pullys, ARK full exhaust with down pipe and test pipe, Typhoon intake, ARK coils. I spent 3k at least and now there are not answering a simple question :

My clutch slips a lot now. I need a new one. I've browsed over the internet and found many but Whats the difference between 4 puck and 6 puck for the same price ? If there is no difference, Why do they make them both then ?

Thanks guys and any super deal over a clutch somewhere ? Don't want to buy the flywheel as i'm broke now ! :P

I dont know where to get a good one. But the reason for differwnt pucks just has to do with the amount of pressure needed for type of material to grab well. For example..

A pressure plate with 1000pounds of pressure and lets say the disk is 10 inches all the way around. That means 1,000 pounds is distributed over 10 inches which in turn means 100 psi (pounds per square inch)

But if you had 5 pucks that were only 1 inch wide. Then it would be the same amount of total pressure but each puck would hold 200psi each

The only reason its like that is because some materials require more pressure to be most effective.
