  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi, Cole here. I've always found online forums really helpful when I've been shopping for new cars, and the G70 is a serious contender this round. So here I am. I love cars and driving, and have always appreciated all types of cars, but especially luxury/performance coupes and sedans. Thanks in advance for all your good advice and experience.
Good to meet you all!
Cole

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Welcome Cole.

Great site here and very informative.
I just bought my '23 G70 back in July. Still in love. I get lots of compliments on it. It does look killer, in my opinion. It really is a great car. Rides nice and got a little bit of "get up and go".

Welcome aboard, Cole! And thank you for signing up. It's always good to have another forumer among us. We're getting rare these days! In any event, I'm glad you found us. And you've definitely come to the best place online to talk with Genesis owners and read about their experiences. What might the G70 be replacing for you?

It's a 21 M340i. My lease is up soon, and I'm not paying BMW lease numbers in this market. The BMW has been flawless, and I guess the benchmark in this segment, but it's hard to justify the $10k-$15k premium. Plus the interior of the G70 blows everything else in this segment away, and if all the reviews are accurate, I'm sold. I've always had german sedans or hatches but genesis got my attention way back with the hyundai coupe, and they've just gotten better and better. Poaching the german designers didnt hurt either. Lol.
Now I just have to work out a deal on a 3.3t awd Sport. Wish me luck!

What brought you to genesis?

Good luck! Yes, it's hard to justify a $10-15k premium over the Genesis G70. Especially when the G70 is such an attractive vehicle both inside and out. I've been following Hyundai for a long time. I have a few family members who've been die hard Hyundai (and Kia) buyers for many years, and they've never switched back to their previously owned domestic brands. When I saw the new (at the time) Hyundai Sonata in 2001, I knew it was only a matter of time before they started making nice luxury vehicles. The XG300/350 and Kia Amanti had me certain true luxury cars were on the way. And, of course, with the 2009 Genesis Coupe and Sedan, I realized they were finally there. Hyundai was officially making cars more luxurious than Lincoln or Cadillac. And here we are today...

I haven't driven one yet, but did visit a dealer lot and walked around. It sure is pretty inside and out, and all the standard equipment makes it a super value. I don't "use" more than 6/10 of my m340i, so I seriously doubt I'd miss anything moving to a G70. My 340i is pretty spartan on the inside-- I ordered a base model with only heated seats and steering wheel, and picked the color. It has sensatech seats, which I don't mind, but the stitching detail on the G70 is killer!

I find the Sensatech material to be fine. Not a really big difference unless you're moving up to Individual where the leather is really soft. I'm highly confident you'll find the G70 drives amazingly. It doesn't sound like you need the V6, but if you do opt for it, you're not going to miss much...

Definitely don't need the v6 but I Definitely want it! Lol.

Good luck man.

We have similar tastes as I wanted the '23 BMW M340i first and foremost, but I'm not paying $500 or $550 a month for a lease. That's with a pretty decent trade-in too. Hard pass on that. lol
That is what brought me to Genesis. I was going back forth between the G70 and the GV70, but I'm glad I went with the G70. I smile every time I drive the car. It's a head turner as well.

Are there any forum vendors on here that can get us discounts on products for the Genesis G70?
I'm currently looking for some WeatherTech floorliners for the car for the winter months.

Thanks.
