  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Small question but want to know how the high beams are? My 1at car, a Le Baron had great high beams, my current Pontiac Grand Prix GTP Supercharger does not. Most people will hardly ever use their high beam but just wondering? I plan on buying the v8 tech in or around March after being gung ho on a Cadillac CTS (car of the year 2008) - glad I waited and gave Hyundai a chance ~ I just went into a Hyundai dealership to check it out not expecting the cogs to start turning in Hyundais favour (badge snobbery - took me a week to get out of the mindset of looking at Cadillacs/Mercedes/BMW).

On another note - I am proud of the smart money sense of this decision, however, the only Genesis I have seen in Tampa had a Lexus symbol on the trunk. I will be opting for the wings instantly when I buy the car but really - why would anyone try to prove this car is a Lexus???

Hyundai has a ways to go with brand image but to buy a Genesis and stick a Lexus L on the rear. Be proud of this vehicle and the smart choice of value!

I have lurked in this forum for a while and appreciate all the opions, positive and negative about this car. I am hoping the suspension issues are fixed by the time I pull the trigger :)

In the meantime, I am jealous of you Genesis owners - all the best!!

By the by, love the V8 gets the same fuel economy as the V6 CTS but plenty more power!

I thought the Hi-Beams we anemic at best and showed little diference compared to the HID low beams.

I replaced the bulbs with H7 Sylvania Silverstar Ultra (no easy task!) along with the position lights right next door to LEDs.
These are whiter and are now a noticable contribution.

I think my hi-beams are quite good. Before daylight, this morning, I was in a construction zone and the high beams were lighting up cones at least a mile away.

Both beams do have an abrupt top beam cutoff and light up less of a dip than my previous lights. Probably easier on other driver's eyes.
