  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I wonder if Genesis has any plans to issue a Genesis GV60 version of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 "N"
The specifications on that car are outstanding relative to the competition, but it's still a Hyundai.
I'd seriously consider a high performance version in Genesis clothing when my BMW i4 M50 lease is up in a few months.
I want a high performance EV that acts more like a performance car than a heavy grand tourer
Right now I'm looking at E-Tron GT/Taycan S, the EQE AMG sedan as well as the BMW i5 M60 as replacements
Our regular GV60P is quite rapid too but it is compromised by non performance tires and quite an ordinary facade.

Take a look at the Genesis GV60 Magma
Is it available in the US? I've never seen one around LA and I'm guessing the concentration of GV60s is heaviest here
I just looked at the Genesis USA website and there's no Magma version listed

You asked if they had any plans for an "N" version. The Magma is their plan for that. It's not out yet, so you won't have seen one on the road.

They did have one on display at the LA Auto Show last November. In person I thought the orange looked pretty awesome. Not 100% sure I'd actually buy one and put it in my garage, but I did think it was very cool looking. Personally, I wouldn't be very interested in a black or white one.

I also live in LA and GV60 sightings are very rare. In a couple of years I've maybe seen a dozen at most? I think I've only seen 2 or 3 this year. On the other hand, I was in the Cupertino area for a week in June and I saw 4 of them in just 5 days. So maybe the concentration is higher in the Bay Area. But you won't see a Magma there or anywhere, at least not yet.

Edit: I just remembered I posted pictures of the GV60 Magma at the auto show last year.

We live on the westside and I'll see several every day while walking my dog. Lots of colors too. I've seen black, mint, red, that weird beige color, lots of white ones. Ours is a Uyuni white with black interior.

I live in Scottsdale. I see lots of EVs primarily Teslas and Mach-Es. Surprisingly, I also see a lot of Lucids. I see so few GV60s that I used to count them. I think my count is up to 16 in 2.5 years.

I don't need more HP and torque. I don't track my car and the GV60P's numbers are high enough for me. What I would like, however, is better handling. That might bring me to the Magma.

Lucid is an Arizona based company so that tracks. My business partner has one of the early ones and it's ridiculously quick, but oh so ugly.
I love our GV60P but the Primacy tires are just awful for a car with so much available torque. I'm looking a replacement for my i4 M50 which really feels like a true sports sedan, with summer tires and excellent handling for a car so heavy. I have had exotics and really good sports sedans for most of my adult life. I traded my Alfa Giulia Quadrifoglio for the M50 and I miss that car every day I'm on a twisty canyon road, of which there are many around where we live. I want a car that handles like the best sports sedan but with the immediacy of performance that comes in an EV. I'd love to find a true two door, 50/50 balanced EV sports car but other than the Maserati Folgore GT at $200K there is nothing in the US. At this point, absent a Magma GV60 that really delivers on the promise, I'm going for an E-Tron GT RS or Mercedes EQE AMG if I can find one, given that they are now discontinued. The BMW i5 M60 might also figure in to the equation.

I also love my GV60P but not the tires. I replaced them with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S HL rated tires (Discount tire had to special order the HL ones; Costco doesn't offer them).

Before my GV60P I was a BMW driver. I loved and still love the way they drive. I test drove the iX and i4 (they were the only BMW EVs when I was purchasing). I liked the way they drove but I couldn't get past the bugs bunny grille (totally unnecessary for an EV).

I was visiting dealers a few days to gather more info about potential replacements and I stumbled upon a real opportunity at the Santa Monica MB dealer - the last 2025 EQE AMG being discounted substantially. So as not to bore anyone with a long story I negotiated the dealer into taking my BMW i4 M50 for the remaining payments and leased the AMG
