  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

As the title suggests I have yet to acquire a G70 but it is at the top of my list of investments! I just got into a condo of my own so I am currently filling it with furniture & that is eating up a good chunk of my disposal income. Working on getting myself situated in a new set of expenses before I pull the trigger on a new car. The goal is to have one by December of 22. I currently drive a lightly modified GT86 but I often go out with friends and a little more room would definitely be beneficial! I don't have much in terms of plans yet aside from air suspension and aftermarket wheels. I actually photoshopped my pick on a stock image that I will try to attach below somewhere. Anyway, hope to learn from everyone here and maybe get some ideas on what to do

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us! I think the G70 is a great naturally progression from the GT86. What type of mods do have you on your current ride?

Thanks!
The 86 has tein coilovers, wider wheels, an unequal length header, borla axle back, and tuned on e85! Pretty simplistic. But still very fun to drive

Sounds fun. I was going to say "sleeper" - but I doubt it sounds like one! :p

It's a good idea to check out the rear legroom and toe room before you commit. In my G70, no one can sit behind me when I'm driving. YMMV.

That's exactly why I test drove the G70 and why I'm driving the G80! 😁

Definitely; not a quiet thing :sneaky:
It's not winning anything in the quarter mile but she holds her own in the canyons (going downhill anyway) :ROFLMAO:
My older brother has a couple sleepers. He drives a turbo fox-body mustang and a pretty fast pontiac g8

I will definitely be test driving one beforehand. I am pretty optimistic though. Can't be any less than my 86 offers 😅

So, I know nobody asked but I'm here with an update! Back in October I got my prequalification at a dealership not far from me and honed in on a white on white prestige G70 at another property. As we were wrapping things up to seal the deal which was a pretty good one in my estimations that car was sold. So there was someone at that property doing their paperwork at the same time. Suffice it to say I lost out. I'm back in the market looking for another. But this time around I'll be getting it used. I don't care for the new climate control panel on the 2024s.

In regards to the suggestion of test driving one to see if it'll accommodate my friends. I did, rented one for a few days on a trip about two hours away. I'm happy to report it worked out well enough for us.

p.s.
I don't have the option to edit my original post. But coming back to this thread revealed to me that image link is broken now. Here is what should be there:

I merged the two posts together. Sorry to hear the first sale didn't work out, but here you are and now you've got another opportunity. I hope you'll keep us posted on this - and I hope you get into your Genesis G70 very soon... :)

Good luck on your search! I like the cars.com app, it'll notify you when a match becomes available. If far away, you can take a plane ride to get the car, and enjoy the long ride home.

I'll check out cars.com and get that set up shortly. That would be nice to fly out somewhere and drive it home.
