  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Whenever I get in the car I have noticed that it is a lot hotter inside than other cars...is this by design?

It's better insulated and tends to hold the heat better. Put up some IR reflective window tint and the issue is reduced a lot.

Do you have a panoramic roof? If you do, well it is all glass and there is very little in the way of headliner and padding between the glass and the inside of the car the sun shade is very thin when compared to a normal headliner.

Glass gets hot, and it transfers that heat to the car, this car is also abnormally cold in winter for the same reason and if you leave the sun shade open it is even worse.

A reflective windshield shade might help a bit.

With our heat index being at 112 this week and my car stays outside 24/7 I use all of the rear window shades full time and have a windshield window shade up when car is parked. Yeah it's still hot but thanks to the remote start, it cools down quicker than if I didn't use any shades.
