  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Fellow GV70 owners, I’ve noticed that the toggle control knob (used to navigate the infotainment menus) gets quite hot. Has anyone else experienced this? Do you think it could be a sign of a problem or potentially harmful in any way?

What model year? If you're referring to the rotary Controller/Touchpad in front of the rotary Gear Shift Knob, then no, I haven't noticed it getting hot in our 2022.

Mine is a 2025 model, and yes, it is the rotary controller/touchpad. I drove a couple hundred miles today and noticed that at some point during the drive, this part became abnormally hot.

I haven't noticed but definitely will check it out next time we're out and about.

I have never noticed mine getting hot

Forgot to update community on hot knob, so here is the latest. Despite dealer service stating initially that hot knob is not abnormal, the knob was replaced and it is not getting hot anymore. Some would think this issue is closed and done. Not at all! The tech who did the job scratched aluminum trim and all plastic parts on center console he could touch with his screwdriver. Now I am waiting for new parts to be installed. So, the saga is going on. I will keep all posted on development.
