  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

got a direct wire kit with a black ground wire fitted with a lug to be installed under any grounded screw under the dash. the red wire is for +12 v and is fitted with an insulated 1/4 in male spade lug ; the kit also has a 3M connector that can be used to tap into an existing wire that has gauges of 14 through 18.

my question is where is a wire that can be best used for the 3M connector ? any help is greatly appreciated . thanks in advance . Marty

I posted some pictures in the link mentioned above that show a good place for ground (the black wire shown). It is a bit difficult to get to if you have larger hands like me. Just use a bolt and nut through the hole. It also shows my preferred way to install a hot and in what empty fuse slot to use (on the drivers side).

I'll second what nabber says - his pics made it a snap for me to install my V1. Took all of about 15 minutes...thanks nabber!
