  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

How do i charge my 2016 Equus car battery?

Open the trunk, remove the trunk insert which exposes the spare tire and battery area. It's to the left. Make sure you remove the negative terminal first and isolate it from contact with any metal. The rest is fairly straight forward. Be safe!

on topic with battery- I replaced mine with a Champion AGM Battery amazing how starter sounds better too! less stress

Was it a pain to lift and lower the battery into the trunk? I am about to change mine out and seems like it's going to be awkward.

Also, are there any radio codes I need to find before replacing the battery?

Not sure if the OP meant charge or change? In any case, for current owners -

For change, the battery is located on the right/passenger side of the trunk:

I replaced my OE unit with an AutoCraft Platinum AGM, H8, 900 CCA battery. The most difficult thing was getting the vent tube (white nozzle above positive terminal) reconnected.

*No memory saver was used when the original battery was disconnected, and I didn't lose any settings, i.e., radio, seats, HomeLink.

Of course, Carquest took care of all labor, so it wasn't too difficult. :)

Indeed! I was going to do mine by myself, but I went Advance Auto Parts and they did it for me:) I went with the same exact battery! HA!

Hey all, serious tip here! If you're going to buy a battery, but it from one of these stores on line. Advance has a 20% off your first online purchase (or did) and I CONSTANTLY get emails for 20% off. Ordering online saved me $50 on this battery!!!

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Finally replaced the battery on my 2014 Equus Ultimate - 7 years old and not a single problem with it - but I knew I needed to replace it. Car has 55,500 miles on it and not a single issue with it. Cannot say enough about the Equus.

Damn, far better than average. Do you live in a mild climate?
