  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I've spent 6 months and HOURS talking to Connected Services (CS) techs (and engineers) and they have been unable to resolve my numerous issues. I have concluded that the system is poorly desinged and subject to failure -- on many fronts, both visible and ones you can't see. I want to entirely delete Connected Services from my car. How is that accomplished?

It's not an option so just don't use it or trade in car.

I think you'd have to reprogram the head unit at a minimum. Just don't us it. If that does not work, buy a 1990s Chevy.

I used connected services to do an over the air update but aside from that I really don’t have any use for it. I just don’t use it and I logged out of the app so the car doesn’t send updates to my phone.

I wouldn’t try to do anything like “disconnecting” from it as there’s no telling what might go wrong.
