How does one cancel a route in Nav?

I got the new nav update. Now I can't find how to cancel a route. The multi media manual says to press the NAV key, then ROUTE, then CANCEL ROUTE. But my screen has no CANCEL ROUTE option. Has anyone else experienced/resolved this?

I use the voice control. "Cancel Route".

I swear, the button was there and disappeared in the last update. Now I just see the option to suspend it.

Same here. After the v13.5 map update there is no longer a cancel route button, just pause navigation. Lately I've just been pausing, then pressing the home button and pretending that I cancelled it.

What I don't know can't hurt me, especially when I lie to myself.

Hold the "Pause route" button and it will cancel route for you. Don't remember where I read it, but glad I did

Yeah, the 13.5 update change the Cancel to a Pause and now you hold Pause to cancel. It was a horrible change.

the old way was if you pressed cancel it would ask you "Are you sure or would you rather pause". So much better.

How to cancel navigation voice

I used voice-- it was super easy--- I've been impressed so far with the voice controls vs. my previous car ( Volvo Momentum T60) just say " cancel navigation"

Since the 2nd last update (and certainly the last), the button is back to 'cancel', and a long press is 'pause'. And yes, the voice commands are better on this car than any other I've owned... but they got worse with the last update, which was unfortunate. So glad to have the 'cancel' button now.
