  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

How have our Genesis's held up since we bought them.

12,000 miles and as much a pleasure driving today as off the lot. Hyundai delivered as promised- high quality build & components, performance and expensive luxury styling at an economy price. The only noticable wear is the Hyundai embroidered driver floor mat- I'll replace all come Spring.

My Genesis has about 14,000 miles on it; haven't had any problems with it other than a chip in the windshield (since repaired). I've been getting about 22-24 miles MPG in combined cycle driving.

2010 4.6 tech. The day after I picked up my car I noticed the alignment was off. Pulled to the left. Wheels was unbalanced. Purchased car in Novemeber 2009. Items were corrected. Now with 1200 miles on it the drivers seat makes this weird noise when it moves backward. Nice smooth hum of the seat motor when moving forward. Sounds like its grinding something when it goes backward. Dealer replaced the bottom seat cushion and tracks. So far so good. Cost of seat cushion and tracks $2000. WOW. Of course its covered by the warranty.

3 months and about 2,900 miles. No reportable problems. Brought in for oil change around 2,000. Excellent car. Ride was a problem at first, but either its settled down, I got used to it or the winter tires solved the problem. I'll find out in April when the regular tires go back on. I feel like a million bucks driving it.

Two thousand, three hundred miles and no problems... except the BMW's and MB's I blow away. They seem to be very upset with the extra money they spent--

I'm coming up to a year of ownership of my Genesis and so far outside of replacing my tires earlier than expected my Genesis has been holding up remarkably well. The paint job is fantastic as so far no paint chips on the hood or front end. No dings (knock on wood) or scratches. The leather on the inside is still near perfect. The surfaces of the knobs, information control have held up perfect. All the technology has performed as expected.

My Genesis V-8, cashmere interior has blue coloring on the driver's seat - due to my wearing jeans.

The car is 10 days old. No wet jeans etc or any problem like that.

Would this be covered under Hyundai warranty or the Platinum Plus Hyundai warranty?

Thanks.

2875 Miles all is well . The only problem I had were the seat belt connectors in the back seat were reversed the center one swapped for the driver side rear seat. I had to swap them back. No dealer involved.
