  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

How many miles have you driven...

12 months and 34,000 km or 21100 miles…no notable changes except for the invisible holy sh*t brake that my wife keeps stepping on when I drive.

650 miles in a month and a half. I work just across the street from where I live so my Genesis 4.6 is always garaged.

1. 9,000
2. 1 year
3. I have never had the mileage other get. My mileage is 16 city 24 highway.

Got mine in August of 2008, so I have 14 months and I've got 24,000 miles. What a great car. The car does exhibit some hesitation, but it always has. I'm used to it, and it doesn't bother me. I have noticed no degredation in mileage, or comfort to this point.

I purchased my Genesis 3.8 on July 18, 2009 and have driven only 1,800 miles. In mixed driving I average about 22 mpg. On short trips, driving back and forth from the train station five mornings per week it's only 13, but that's to be expected. On a couple of longer runs down the Atlantic City expressway to the shore from Philly and back, I've averaged 28 mpg.

12 months & 7 days, 26,600 miles & overall average of 26.5mpg.
No service problems.
Best car I've ever owned.

19,000 km in 9 months. Love it. ( Except I have to buy 18" winter tires. OUCH )

3.8 Sapphire blue TECH

21,000KM in 6 months and have loved every minute of it.
Longest drive was 17 hours from South Carolina to Montreal Canada.
Wife drove 2 hours during that drive.
Very comfortable and love the car!

Just about 1 year -7550 miles- one tow to dealer for non starting(loose wire in start button) about 22mpg. 3 trips to auto body shop- 1 deer, 1 hit and run in parking lot, 1 flying cinder block). Still love the Genesis, still get questioned almost every time I drive it- even my VW Quantum never got this many questions- but still have issues with rough ride at low speeds and dealer service. Saturday night my wife said - You know this really is a nice car, even though it is a Hyundai.....

Had ours for 7 mts and 13,000 miles. We've noticed that the mileage varies with brand of gas during the summer mt's. Mobil gas MPG was about 10% less than Shell - I assume that's because different Stage 3 gas blends? Car has had 2 flat tires from nails or screws. Normal for where my wife works. Other than that it just needed its oil changed.

2500KMs, what a great car. Only problem is a rumble which I think is the Dunlops. Rumble appears at 80kms and goes away at 90kms. Strange, as I speed up from a stop I can tell exactly what speed I am doing when I hit 80kms to 90kms without looking at the speedo. Other then this ongoing issue I have no problems and love the car. I was actually asked by a co worker "is that a BENTLEY", must of been the wings.

Purchased our 2011 4.6 in September 2010. Our Genesis now has just over 130,000 miles. We still love it. It is super reliable and has the OEM brake pads that are lasting longer than the ones on any car we have ever owned.

Since we now have brought it back from the death, LOL.
Is there any 200k mile member here?

~5k mile.
17-25mpg
Bought new in 10/2013.

I got to about 70K in my 2010 4.6 before trading it in, I currently have about 36K on my 2012 5.0.

I have had my 2012 genesis for around 20 months bought as new. have 80K miles thus far now. no problems.

2010, 55 months, 34,500 miles. Trans replaced early under warranty, head unit replaced later under extended warranty. No other problems, still love the car. I'm 71 and have no plans to replace it.

65k, 5 years this past April. No issues, stable MPG at ~ 20 suburban commuter, 25-26 hwy (regular fuel, experimented with premium a few years back and couldn't tell the difference).
