  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

How often should you do a front end alignment?

Our vehicle has 10,000 miles on it with new tires and the dealership is suggesting it needs an alignment though it’s never been in an accident or has hit a curb. Any suggestions?

Why were the tires replaced? If there was excessive or uneven wear, then a all wheel (not just front end) alignment is probably needed.

Yes, they do need it at times. I had one of my cars aligned sometime back in the 1970s. One front tire wore uneven. Never needed it on any other car since.

Please clarify "new" tires. Were they just put on? If so, why? If you mean they are new with the car and are wearing evenly, no need to donate to the dealer for extras.

Just noting that this topic has been moved out of the community lounge and into the Genesis GV70 suspension forum.

My last wheel alignment was in the 1980s.

I wouldn't spend the money unless there'd been a bad impact, or vehicle pulling which can't be attributed to tire pressure, or uneven treadwear which can't be masked through periodic rotation.
