  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2011 genesis 4.6 and love it. one quirk is that when i play music via usb flash drive i change the settings to play the songs randomly. the default setting is to play the songs as they are listed on flash drive. when i turn the car off and then restart it, i have to navigate back to settings and chose to play songs randomly again. is there a way to make "random" the default setting?
thanks for the help

I would welcome this information also. This is one of the only things on this car that I find annoying. I did ask at my dealership and was told that there was no setting to leave random on. It seems silly as every car I have driven in the last 10 years or so was able to set random to stay on. I do love the car.

Sooo annoying...I miss permanant random...

permanent random and the fact that the display doesn't show you where you are (e.g. in the middle of a playlist) when you start the car up are really the only two things i don't like about the genesis

Yup, these small little annoyances are unfortunate. I wish there was an "advanced settings" menu option to tweak this kind of stuff.
