How to Enter Ownership Information via MyGenesis web site

I am trying to enter the proof of ownership, registration and id information on the mygenesis web site URL;

Update Vehicle Ownership | MyGenesis

owners.genesis.com

but when I drag and drop a file into the upload box, the page freezes with a status of Updating. the Submit button is inactive (greyed out). How do I get the information uploaded? Any suggestions appreciated.

I just renewed my connected services and, it was a nightmare. In my opinion, there is an issue with their network. I would try to access different web pages and it would just hang for ages.

I was finally able to complete the process by doing it in the evening. You may end up having to call them. Or, if you just bought it, the dealership can do it for you. That is what I did.

I think I'll try to email the docs to genesis customer care and see if they can enter the info for me.

As a former IT systems person, I think the MyGenesis site is fairly well designed, but abysmally executed from a programming & performance point of view. Glacial response times (although with global warming accelerating glacial movement, that may be a generous analogy), broken links, and no access to anyone who knows the site and system makes using it a pain.

Is the file in an approved format? I don't know what they want, but probably a jpg or pdf, it should tell you somewhere on the page.
When I got my car, the dealer ship did not have the time to set mine up for me. I called and i had to either either emailed a pdf or I faxed them a copy, I forget which, waited 24 to 48 hours I have been up and running ever since. But, others have had problems for no good reason. Such as the previous poster. So who knows what is going on.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I even resized the .jpg file down to about 179 kb and I eliminated any spaces in the file name and cut the file name down to 8 characters (DOS requirement from another age). I will try emailing them a copy but they appear clueless about the MyGenesis web site when I talk with them.

Good luck, when I called three years ago, the person knew right off what the issue was and how to solve it. They even answered the phone on the second ring, no menu.

I sometimes have luck with these types of issues by using a different browser. Tried updating a few online forms using Edge and it would just sit and spin. Used Chrome and it worked on the first try.
