  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

How to install OEM LED foglights on 2015 Genesis Sedan

Taking of the steering wheel is actually very easy. Its removing the airbag that can be tricky. You can reference this thread regarding what I did: 2015 Genesis Fog Light question.... I want to add fog lights

To your second question, I got the turn stalk and harness for the Ebay Seller, RPMTrade. I found the lights a bit cheaper from somebody else. So just do a little searching around the net and search the Forum. There has been a LOT of discussion about this topic.

I’d be interested in all that too as I just ordered the DRL’s. Short-Term plan accessories fuse; LT would be to do it right. Damn car is so new to me in 2 months I have not had the chance to wash it or vacuum it!

Anyone have a 2017 that could take a few pictures of how they ran the OEM wires? I’d like to match that as much as possible.

Thanks in advance,

SJ

So, If you get the harness with the fog light connectors, they will, run in they exact same position. Though mine fit slightly more snug than the original. I want to avoid cutting anything and running wires to the fuse box.

I did this mod on my 2015 Ultimate a few months ago. The wire harness that I ordered had ALL the pins reversed. After fixing that, then swapping out the OEM stalk. It was plug and play. It was a great mod.
Wow! Great Mod. Hey I am in Maryland too. Was wondering if you would like to do the mod for me for a fair labor compensation?? PM me if you are interrsted. yb_lim2000@yahoo.com

Yeah man, I would have no problem doing that. We can work out the details. But you would have to verify that your Genny has the wiring from the factory to support. Refer to this post:

2015 Genesis Fog Light question.... I want to add fog lights

P.S.: I would only mess with a OEM fog light conversion, not a aftermarket conversion
Thanks for the quick reply. i just checked the fuse box in the trunk and all the fuse slots have fuse in them. However, i can't find where the front bumper wire harness is? Do I need to remove the bottom cover or can i see it from the top when the hood is open?

I could see a yellow color female connector thru the driver side lower grill.

No, that is not the connector you need to look for, it is physically in front of the drivers front wheel well and it is a larger connector with a locking mechanism.

With the front bumper off sitting next to the drivers front wheel. this is the connector and wiring you need to see.

Hello everyone.

So the DLED’s arrived. See picture. I also ordered the lit door sill inserts that say GENESIS and what I thought was solar cup and cubby low-light lights, but they have wires, so we’ll see, LOL

Hi There - CarlitoGR --- What is the process for reversing the pins in the harness? Did you have to reverse the pins on the harness that is attached to the car in the front wheel well? or Just the pins in the harness that comes with the fog lights? And if so, how many connectors did you have to do this for?

thanks in advance.

Thank You for the helpful ideas. Installed on my 2015 Genesis Sedan. They look great for the DRL.
