  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello,

Does anyone know how to remove the mirror from the passenger side mirror housing, on the 2012 Genesis R-spec. All the videos on Youtube say push to one side and pull out from the other side. That does not work on the R-spec. The mirror seems to beencased in a plastic cover inside the housing. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thank You

Welcome. Moving this into the first generation Genesis Sedan forum.

There’s a post somewhere in this forum showing instructions on replacing the gear in the mirror housing (for folding) which includes removing the glass. I followed it to a t and it worked. I remember having to pull off the glass so hard I thought it would break, but it didn’t.
