  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello,

On a 2015 Genesis 3.8L V6, how do I reset the ECU or learned transmission values? I learned that it could be done by disconnecting the negative on the battery.

Can you guide me on the exact steps? and what kind of procedure do I have to do after the reset (e.g., switch car on for how many seconds, turn engine on, let it idle, then drive....etc).

Let me know guys,

Thanks a bunch!

Anyone knows how to properly disconnect the battery for resetting the computer components? Or maybe a specific fuse to reset the ECU and TCM?

It was pretty easy to do on my old Acura TL - not sure if there's a "code" for this car though...
