  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

We have tried the ipod trick with a 3.5 mm male-male cable and plugged it into the AUX jack. It plays the tunes but controlling the ipod with fwd, skip, repeat, random controls is not easy. Next we loaded up a thumb drive and selected the USB as input. This worked better but the songs had to mp3. This allows more control. There is also a conflict with using Android Auto since it also requires USB to connect the car and phone. Mary wants Android Auto to do navigation but does not want to load her phone with music. Does anyone know if a USB hub would work. We would plug the phone and thumb drive into the hub and the hub into the USB. Would the G70 be smart enough to handle both inputs?

if it is anything like the G80, then no it will not work, a hub will likely short out the USB connection and blow the fuse.. It's a one or the other choice, at least in the G80.

How many songs we talking about? Micro SD cards are pretty cheap these days.

I want to know the same thing. Kinda inexcusable that the USB in the center console isn't data...

For me the data on the phone isn't the issue. I want to use the WIRELESS CHARGER! I only want to use AA sometimes not all the time but I want to use the USB all the time. Every time you unplug the USB and replug in it has to re-index.

does the G70 have an internal HDD (aka Jukebox) like the G80/G90?

I have 2800 songs on a thumb drive and play them from a USB port on my current vehicle. Is that possible on G70 with control on screen or steering wheel?

Edit: Noticed on another thread that this is possible.

^ yes...via USB port near the Qi charger.
