  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Well I have to say the trip went extremely well until the early morning hours of the drive back. The car was fantastic - comfortable, smooth, and quiet. Below are a few pictures of our stops (some non-car related :)) and of course some obligatory shots with the car. SEMA was incredible as well, I have posted a few pictures here but a link will also be provided to my Flickr gallery for those that want to see more. Thanks for looking at enjoy!

haha yes I did too! I posted pictures in my build thread but I guess I can post them here as well. In Oklahoma City a deer ran right into the side of the car.

I love seeing pics of your car! Looks very nice!

Sorry to see about your ride. Frustrating drive home, no doubt.

So many phenomenal vehicles this year at SEMA/AAPEX that it would be hard to pick even 5 favorites.

Hyundai's display was un-inspiring unless you are interested in super tricked out Velosters.

Resting my body this weekend after trying to take in 4.5 million sq. ft of inside exhibition space, plus the parking lots.

I want this vehicle to mix it up in commute traffic.

I know modded Supras are somewhat ubiquitous, but I gotta say, that one looks very clean, classy and dare I say it- understated. Amazing that there's a whole generation of people who are about to graduate from college that were born around the time that generation of Supra was introduced. Let that sink in for a moment...

As for the Canyon, did y'all get a hotel nearby or did you just pass through on the way home? One time when I visited "the big hole in the ground", I stayed a chain hotel in Prescott, while another time I went I stayed in Sedona (2 hours away, but worth it), which ended up being more fun to us than the trip to the Canyon. Don't get me wrong, the Canyon is/was spectacular and should be seen if you've never done so, but there were so many cool things to do in Sedona that we vowed to return and stay longer than just a weekend. The drive from Sedona to the Grand Canyon via Flagstaff takes you on US Highway 89A, which is a spectacular driving road (particularly early in the morning when there's light traffic), though probably less desirable when it's got even just a little bit of snow on it. I had my 2010 Genesis when I went and I was driving at what I thought was a pretty good clip, only to be humbled when I had to pull aside and let faster traffic pass. The road, the views, and the great company and conversation of a hot lady that was also an easy traveling partner took away the sting of that "defeat" :p, however.

With all that being said, while I truly love road-trips and get the itch to take one from time-to-time, it never fails that by the time I get home, I'm very happy to pull up the driveway and into the garage, and I typically spend a few quiet, boring days at home afterwards. ;)

Damn. That sucks! If your crowd funding repairs I'd chip in :) Love looking at pics of your car so shame to see it damaged.

If you ever go back again, check out Fire Valley, the other side of Lake Mead. The scenery would make an amazing backdrop for a car shoot.

I'll be going back again next year so I'll certainly check that route out.

Coolasice I'll gladly take donations. My paypal is sahuddleston85@gmail.com :-)

Aquineas, we actually timed it so that we arrived at the Grand Canyon at sunrise on the way to Vegas. It was beautiful.

Just bummed I'm having to use the money I set aside for more mods to get the car fixed.

That really does suck about your car man. Do you have a high deductible? Or are you just going to pay it out of pocket? Because you're easily looking at something north of $5K.

Deductible is $1000. That was my electronic exhaust cut outs and roof rack money!!

I think this goes toward your comprehensive deductible, not your collision deductible. Usually, comprehensive deductibles are lower. In addition, i do not think it counts as an at fault accident.

Both are the same.
