  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi, I have a 2015 Genesis Ultimate HTRAC. I discovered that my HVAC won't change the airflow to defrost. Took it in, Dealer said it was an actuator, waited 4 days for the part only to be told, nope that wasn't it. I really don't want to play 20 questions with the dealer waiting days for parts. Anyone have any issue like this or a suggestion of what to check?
Thank you very much!!

Dealer should be able to diagnose it better than us not being able to test anything. Actuator comes to mind, of course, but could be the switch or whatever sends the signal to the actuator. Could also be the damper bound up. Should be easy to find out if power is going to the actuator and go from there.

Thank you for the ideas, this gives me some talking points for tomorrow, 7 days without the car now. Thanks again!
