  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

HVAC sounds

The fan is supposed to change speed depending on engine need. You may have a switch that is bad. You should take it in and let them know the fan is always at high speed.
Engine cooling need, and AC evaporator pressure (AC cooling need).

its a hard thing to test bc I can only test it when the vehicle is stopped or at a low speed; which may be an indication for the fan to go on full blast. When it's at higher speeds, its obviously unsafe, or the wind noise drowns it out anyways. I guess the best test would be to compare to other gv80s; a few people in my neighborhood have them but I feel pretty annoying asking about that haha.

When standing next to my car I can hear the fan run. Inside the car, windows closed, I never hear it. If you can hear it while driving, I'd get it checked out for noise level.

I scheduled an appointment with Genesis for June 5th, the earliest appointment.... to check this; I have a hood open sensor problem, a door rattle, a hesitation with the transmission (when pulling away slowly uphill it seems to stutter/stall out before it upshifts) and a vibration im getting over 70 mph. No idea if any of these things are typical or not. I'll start a new thread in regards to these topics.

If anyone has any experience with any of that let me know!

Thanks everyone for the help!

I updated my maps today and while sitting in the car with the engine running at idle, I thought it had shut off because I could not hear the engine. I hit the gas and the engine reved. It was about 90 degrees here today so I know the fan was running at some speed. This car is quiet on the inside and if you hear the fan, something is wrong.

Here is an iCloud link to a video I took after stepping out of my vehicle after 50 mins
