I test drove Hyundai genesis coupe and it was ok.
However, I wasn't sold because its cornering and awd wasn't offered.
I don't expect Gen Coupe having selective suspension, yet, which this comming Cadillac CTS Coupe would have.
However, I don't think hyundai would do good on Gen Coupe if Hyundai doesn't offer awd.
Even though its performance was better than Infiniti G37 Coupe in terms of money value, without awd is hurting Gen Coupe, compared to G37 Coupe.
Even if Gen Coupe can be compared to G37 in performace, while compared wit Eclipse in price, Gen Coupe without awd will lose comstumer to either of them; while people with money will go to G37, people with less money will go for Eclipse instead of Gen Coupe.
Let's never forget the simple facts that at least half of population in U.S. and every Canadian won't be easy to buy rwd.
Without Gen Coupe awd, hyundai won't be able to compete in northern state and in Canada, while G37, Eclipse, Audi A5/S5, BMW3 xdrive coupe and even incoming Cadillac CTS Coupe are reaping the market.
Not to mention that other luxury brand offere awd sedan/coupe while Hyudai isn't.
and Hyudai actually want costumer to consider Hyundai as a premium brand/luxury brand?
Good luck with that.
Better think twice.
