  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hyundai changes its mind on Genesis dealers -- again

Wow, last time I had my 2012 Genesis 4.6 in the local dealer shop, I was not impressed. It seemed they didn't really know what they were doing and had to make several attempts to get things right. It was basically a Chrysler/Dodge/Ram dealership that also sells Hyundai on the side, and they didn't seem to know that much about Genesis. The dealership has a different name now, so perhaps it is no longer part of the Chrysler dealership.

Huh?! Perhaps a few more details would be helpful. Are you saying you can't find a Hyundai/Genesis dealer? Maybe if you mentioned where you live????

No, of course the dealership is still there. It's just that at the time, it was part of East Texas Dodge, and they seemed to be good ole boys who knew a lot about Chargers and Ram trucks, but not so much about Genesis. I was not impressed at all. They once sold me the wrong air filter for my 4.6, which I had to bring back and tell them it was not the right one. Maybe things are better now. The 4.6 is so reliable that it has been a couple years since it needed service.
