Hyundai GDS VCI Diagnostic Tool

I purchased and received the tool, I have not yet used it. Does anyone here have any experience with the tool? I purchased it mainly for the issue im having with the front parking sensor hoping it can fix it or tell me what is causing the issue. Im planning on using it sometime this week.

First, you need to install software on your laptop, and then connect the OBD cable between the car and the computer.

start the software, and then click "auto vin". If you want to find fault code from engine & A/T &aircon, then select "engine" "a/t" "air/con". and then click "fault code searching".

So I tried connecting yesterday and could not get the tool to talk to the car. It connects to the laptop and the program sees it. No communication to the car. I did install it on a toughbook with windows 10. I have an XP laptop that I will install the software on.

I installed it with winxp

check the VCI indicate light.

Those lights are on. The vehicle com light does not come on at all. It is getting power from it when connected to the ODB2 port but no data.

Does anyone know how well these will register misfires? I am having a hell of a time tracking one down, it's very intermittent and torque/etc is useless for an occasional misfire
