  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I received a post card in September for a free map upgrade. When the dealer picked up the car for an oil change in early October I gave him the post card and they did a free map upgrade along with the free oil change.

Also, about the same time they sent the post card Hyundai sent a free $50.00 debit card for no particular reason.

anyone know what the 2016s will be shipping with? or if it would likely get a free update in december?

Likely 9.0 as it has been out since summer. There are no "free" updates and it is possible some 2016's did not get 9.0 depending on build date, and based on the fact it available for purchase for 2016's. This last version was held up for the jog wheel version due to bugs, so maybe some 2016's don't have it.

It will be the last year of that logo, so get a price break. The new G80 sedan will evidently debut as a 2017 next fall along with the newly designed winged logo.

Updated my map today decided to go for the 9.0 promotional update as opposed to the 9.5 for me the extra $70.00 dollars wasn’t justified. My version was old at 06.50.71 and is now 08.41.52. Procedure was completed in about 35 min. It didn’t really go as the instructions said. As soon as I put the USB stick in the system immediately asked if I wanted to update I selected yes and off it went. 35 minutes later it completed I Installed the new SD card the system rebooted and that was it. Haven’t really had enough time to dig deep into it but did check one of my pet peeves and that was the route preview I was never really satisfied with any of the existing options. To my surprise found a new one that is just what I was looking for. My wife is a real bug about looking at the route beforehand just gives her a sense of security. She’s an old fashioned girl loves maps and doesn’t trust GPS systems. The added option is nice you select it with the jog wheel (It’s a small window on the bottom with a car and a progression line in front) as you move the wheel it moves the map according to the speed you turn the wheel. I know it sounds simple enough but it sure takes the mystery out of the route quickly in case you need to alter it. Tried of course the voice recognition system sadly so far noticed no change although the manual input appears to have gotten a little massage for the better.
