  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hyundai releases sales number for the Genesis for Oct 08....

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
If you take the 3976 Genesis sold, it averages out to approximately only 79 cars sold per state in the US.

I have yet to see one on the road here in NJ and I commute to NYC everyday during the week and have never seen one in NYC.

I 've been speaking with several dealers in NJ and I have a hard time believing that they're really busy. They make it sound like they can't keep the Genesis on the lot.

I'm shocked that Hyundai is not offering the incentives on the Genesis that Acura, MB, Lexus, and other luxury car companies are offering.

I'm wondering if I should hold out to the spring before I make a purchase, maybe the incentives will be better. I definitely agree that the V8's arrival is what spiked October's sales numbers. I think the Nov and Dec Genesis sales will be significantly lower unless they introduce some new incentives.

I don't htink there is a lack of interest on the Genesis. I think Hyundai has problem meeting the demand on Genesis. My dealer has a bunch of buyers waiting for their cars. If Hyundai can deliver those cars the sales number will be more than double.

I haven't seen a single Genesis "on the road" yet here in West Palm Beach. I DID see on it a store parking lot, however...

This is not too surprising when you consider there are about 135,000,000 million cars on the road in the US, including the 4000 Genesis

The reason I'm surprised is that I see quite a few Pontiac G8s and Nissan Maximas driving around...

Saw a V6 Silver in El Paso, Texas.

Saw a V8 Black near Austin, Texas.

I suspect the first time I see a V8 on the road, it'll be racing me.. I AM anxious to see one, however..

Part of the reason I leased a Genesis is the fact there are so few of them on the road...but it is strange not to see more of them since we are probably really on the lookout.

I actually saw my 1st Genesis today sitting on display at my local Costco advertising their Auto Price program. I over heard a few guys stating that it was a good looking car. It was smaller then I imagined. My wife thinks my Dad's 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid is bigger. I'll have to check the specs.

I'm planning on taking my 1st Test Drive tomorrow morning. Just one question does the V6 Tech Package have chrome strip along the bottom of the doors or is that only available on the V8's?

Only on the V8's - but for the 2K more for the V8 you also get a SLEW of extras - from trim items, lighted doorsill, etc all the way up to electric power steering and, most significantly (except for the V8!) you get significantly larger disk brakes with 4 piston calipers. Go for the 8 . . .

We saw a very dirty Genesis at a store parking lot over a month ago while we were still deciding between the Genesis and a few other cars and it wasnt very inspiring, and then today I saw the first genesis on the road and it was Silver on Black, just like ours.

Finally! We finally saw another Genesis! It was in Sapphire Blue Pearl and sitting across from us at the junction of Jamboree and Irvine in Tustin, CA. :D

It must've been pretty new as there were no front plates. I'm envious of other states that don't need a front plate. We can "get away with it" here in CA, but the dealers seem to be fitting their marketing plate to the front. You're left with three holes in the front of the car if you try and take it off. :(
